The only thing new for the  2014 Mazda CX-9 Touring and Grand Touring trim levels is a new rear cross-traffic alert system.. The CX-9 was just redesigned in 2013.

Under the Hood

The 2014 Mazda CX-9 has a 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 273 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a six-speed automatic with manual shift control. The CX-9 can tow up to 3,500 pounds.

Inside

The Grand Touring has an upgraded interior, keyless ignition/entry, driver memory functions, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a second-row center armrest with console storage.

 

My test drive had the Touring Technology package, which included fog lights, a sunroof, a power lift gate, keyless ignition/entry, a navigation system, and a premium 10-speaker Bose surround-sound system and satellite radio.

 

The CX-9’s dash features a waterfall design that flows into the door panels

 

The Driver, front passenger and 2nd row seats has plenty of room, but the headroom in the 3rd row is tighter.

With its second and third rows folded flat, the CX-9 has 101 cubic feet of cargo space.
