2010 Ford Taurus SEL

The all-new 2010 Ford Taurus SEL is built at the Chicago Torrance Plant and is more upscale than its predecessor.  The 2010 Taurus has taken a giant step forward with an exciting new design, but the price is excessive for the content of the vehicle. The Taurus rides and handles better than any Taurus since the ‘90s.

Driving Experience

The Taurus handles like a sports sedan and when taking steep turns the body roll is well controlled. The SEL came equipped with 19-inch chrome wheels and 255/45VR19 tires, which provided great traction. The new Taurus is fun to drive and the new V6 is capable of getting you on the highway with ease.

Inside

The dash and nearly every surface are made from an elegant supple soft material. The door panels have an elegant C-shaped grab handle and have an upscale look and feel.  The new instrument panel is easy to read and the center console has all the controls positioned for easy accessibility.  The 2010 Taurus steering wheel is wrapped in leather with controls for cruise, radio and telephone.  The plastic wood inlays look cheap and brushed aluminum I think would have been a better choice of material. The gear selector is large and easy to grip.  The ambient lighting and the power memory pedals are great attributes for the vehicle. The seats are comfortable and the interior room is monstrous. The Taurus 20.1 cubic-foot trunk can handle any family vacation gear.  The centerstack –has all the creature features like, climate control, audio components, and has a unique continuous unbroken form through the instrument panel and down into the center console.

Outside

The Taurus is a big car 202.9 inches overall and has a muscular but refined appearance and stance The door mirrors are sculpted and highlight the car. The bold new headlights combined with recessed parking lamps frame the signature Ford three-bar grille.

Summary

If you are looking for a large family sedan, I would suggest test-driving the all-new 2010 Ford Taurus.
