2009 VW CC Sport
VW has created a vehicle with an elegant design both inside and outside. VW’s attention to detail has taken the CC Sport to new heights highlighted by the elegant contrasting color leatherette seats with unique stitching.
Driving Experience
The 2009 CC has power steering that is responsive to any to sharp turn and the brakes are adequate to stop the vehicle without any difficulty.
The CC has a nice balance between ride and comfort for a 4-door sedan with a sport-tuned suspension that takes harsh road conditions and turns them into a smooth ride. The turbocharged four-cylinder engine is capable of merging you on to the highway and cruising at any speed
.
Safety
* Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
* Crash Optimized Front End
* Engine Braking Assist (EBA)
* Pinch Protection on Power Windows
* Six Airbags
* Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Under the Hood
Under the hood of the CC Sport is the VW 2.0T four-cylinder engine, which produces 200 hp. My test drive came equipped with the standard six-speed manual transmission, which was excellent for adding a sports car flavor to the CC. The 2.0 is a direct-injected, turbocharged four cylinder, but produces like a six, and delivers 21 mpg city/31 mpg highway
Inside
The CC interior has an upscale feel with a touch of style, but the rear seat has limited seating capacity (2) due to an unnecessary permanent armrest with cup holders. Visibility is limited due to the low slung tapered roofline.
Standard equipment on my test drive included automatic climate control, an alarm system, heated leatherette power seats, power windows, and an eight-speaker premium sound system with CD changer. The trunk is not plentiful but adequate with only 13 cu feet of storage space.
Outside
The CC stands for Comfort Coupe with four doors and a lot of styling.
The entire car has style from its front-end to its unique side character tapered roofline. This vehicle makes you stop and take notice unlike the humdrum styling of the Passant.
Summary
The CC is in a class all it’s own with its unique beautiful exterior and interior styling and VW quality only equaled by much higher priced vehicles.
