The overall driving experience was good and the steering and handling are exceptional for the Forte SX. The steering is responsive, but does not communicate the feel of the road. The ride can be bumpy especially when taking a turn and hitting a bump or pot hole. The Forte is a fun car to drive, but you are reminded that it is a compact vehicle when taking it through some hard turns.
.
Inside
The front seats are comfortable and they hold you in place when taking steep turns. During the winter you will enjoy the heated seat, which is a standard feature on the SX. The leather wrapped steering wheel has controls for radio, cruise control and telephone The rear seat has enough room to seat 3 children or 2 adults comfortable.
The Forte’s instruments and controls are laid out so you can read and use them with ease. The stereo system features standard iPod connection and has a great sound. The SX comes with standard Bluetooth connectivity and had an easy to use navigation system.
Visibility is excellent and the trunk has ample room for hauling groceries.
Outside
The Forte sedan looks very plain and without much character and has a boxy appearance. The word that comes to mind when initially describing the Forte sedan is vanilla. And is definitely not a sleek or stylish sedan.
